It seemed silly, but turned to work really well.
I had my hesitation. A wooden box with a wooden button! But have used it for a few months now, I really find it more user friendly than my other box with a toggle switch.
Hook up is easy and straight forward
A very handy device! Hook up is easy and straight forward. I was having to move and chair and fumble around behind a TV to change/unplug/plug the jacks from the sound system to the headphones and vice versa. A real pain. Hooked this up and positioned where easy to get. By just pressing the top button the sound switches from sound system to headphones. Good sound quality. A great simple design.
WORKS RIGHT AWAY, is SIMPLE, STYLISH, and NO LINE NOISE – Works Switching Between Headphones and Speakers
This is a top notch switch that worked right out of the box and is simple to use and is of high quality. There was no line noise on this one.
I originally bought another type and it had line noise: The one that DOESN'T WORK well with the line noise IS THIS ONE:
Read my review there as it points back to this item. I figured I could save you $20 or having to return something.
It works excellently and easily and the wooden construction looks/feels nicely. I also do not notice any sort of loss of audio quality between my headphones and speakers.
starslooks great does the job
This is my second review. I gave it a bad review at first. The problem was that the inlet port (1 in 2 out) was hard to push in all the way and I thought the right channel wasn't working. Got another switch and it did the same thing. The problem was I didn't push the jack in far enough. It was unusually hard to push in all the way but when I pushed a little harder it snapped in all the way and it now works as it should. The sound is great so it earned 5 stars.
Great audio switch box, but it’s not perfect…
I use this to switch audio between my desktop and aux cord to my phone to a small sound system.
- Simple to use
- Flat audio response (good thing)
- Looks nice
- Quiet intermittent noise when using the 1 INPUT, 2 OUTPUT method (noticeable in quiet scenarios)
- Small chance you may have to nudge the cable to get a proper connection
- Button gets stuck if you press it a certain way
For one of my cables, when it's specifically plugged in on the side with the single I/O, I had to twist and pull it into a specific position for it to work. I feel that the inner electrical contact points could have a tighter grip on the cable so this wouldn't be an issue. The cable works fine on the other I/O's of the switch box and other devices, and I actually can't just change the cable since the other end is hardwired onto my sub-woofer.
Hope this feedback is helpful!
Careful: (2 IN – 1 Out) doesn’t mean at the same time
So i'm looking for a device that maybe doesn't exists :/ I would like something that takes 2 input and has one output, so that whatever is playing on the input side i hear it without the need to select any source.
So if input 1 plays A and input 2 plays B i would hear (AB) together, and if only input 1 is active then i only hear A.
Unfortunately this device doesn't work like this, you still have to press the button to select the source. Too bad, otherwise the device works as described.
Wonderful and useful product!
P.S Amazing design!
Just received it today, and it works just as advertised. I hear no loss in sound quality, and I have a Masters in Music Education, so I think I would notice. So far, very happy 🙂
Solved an annoying problem.
The button is wobbly. Not sure if that's intentional but so far it does not effect function.
I think the company logo is funny. Looks like they are missing part of their mind!
i love this little wooden button
Perfect for what I need, unobtrusive but charming on my desk.
Very Handy little switch that matches my desk and accessories. LOVE it!!!
